Free PSD Twitter Background Template

Well I have had tons of people ask how I design my twitter backgrounds and get everything to look right. So, instead of telling everyone I took 5 minutes and made a twitter template. Inside of the template I made guides that match up with different resolutions.

Note:

Twitter aligns all backgrounds to the left.

Make note of this when designing your background. Also, you can put elements to the far right but be aware that some users will not see them depending on what monitor/resolution they are running. I included the “twitter container” (logo and space where your tweets are housed) it is actual size. So you can move it into different resolutions to keep in mind what other users will see.

This template is free, with no attribution or warranty from me. However, if you do make a cool background shoot me an email hello@thechadengle.com or send me a link on twitter @chadengle

Cheers.

    Chad,

Thanks bro. This is awesome. I have kept my twitter background very minimal (as in stark white) since I’ve had it. But maybe I’ll try and cook up something hot with this new template. Thanks again for making this available.

    Chad Engle,

Thank you so much. That is great. I just started Twittering. Jason Keeling referred me to you and my first thought was “Wow! This Chad has an awesome Twitter BG.” So I appreciate the template. Certainly I’ll send you a Twitter when I get it done.

Hi, just wanted to ask a quick question in regard to different screen resolutions & Twitter backgrounds… I think I read a tweet once (wish I’d saved it) that it’s possible to have a fluid background template so that everyone (with varying screen resolutions) sees it pretty much as you intended? Do you know if that’s possible?

    Thanks!

  11. Chad Engle says:

To my knowledge all twitter backgrounds align left. Now if there is something you can ask twitter to do I am not aware. If you find out or run across that tweet let me know.

  12. I appreciate the display size guides as well as the mock Twitter layers! Thanks, Chad.
